Course Description

Medicare has published new rules regarding pulmonary rehabilitation programs including physician supervision and payment policy in both outpatient hospital based and physician office programs. These new rules affect physical therapists who work in these settings in terms of their billing policies and their program structure. In order to help individuals working in these settings, this program will provide all the new policy rules, the billing codes and expected reimbursement for using these codes, implications for individuals with other lung diseases involved in rehabilitation, and potential red flags for physical therapists treating patients with pulmonary disease.
